The Building Resilient and Integrated Communities (BRICs) program is connecting newcomer families and individuals with established Canadian volunteers to provide guidance for a successful transition into their community. BRICs Program is delivered by INDUS Community Services

NEWCOMER MENTORSHIP VOLUNTEERS (BRICs Program) needed in Oakville, Mississauga, and Brampton.

Volunteer duties:

  • Provide guidance for understanding of local systems such as: banking, public transit, community centres, libraries, and schools.
  • Provide guidance on how to find local community resources offering services to newcomers
  • Take initiative and provide leadership to newcomer families
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 months with 6 hours a month.

Training provided! Volunteers must be 18+ years of age and have lived in Canada for 2 years or more.
